November 3, 2021 -- Content Area Standards Support: ELA Standards Rollout
What: Content Area Standards: ELA Standards Rollout
Where: ESU #10 (Kearney, NE)
Time: 9:00 am - 3:00 pm
Facilitators: Marissa Payzant, Nebraska Department of Education

Purpose:
     Provide SDA with tools/resources relating to the rollout of the 2021 Nebraska ELA Standards so that SD can facilitate work with districts within their service areas.
     This day and processes will be specific to the 2021 ELA Standards.

Topics for Nov. 3rd:
     First two of four modules relating to the ELA Standards Professional Learning Series.
     Module 1 - The Standards and Instruction
     Module 2 - The 2021 ELA Standards and Shifts.
     Target dates for release of Modules 3 and 4 are scheduled for December 2021

Learning Outcomes:
Tools, resources, and professional learning templates to ensure that educators can:
     Articulate a statewide vision of excellent ELA/literacy instruction for all Nebraska students.
     Describe the major standards revisions and how they contribute to the instructional vision
     Prepare to marshal resources for implementation of the standards and instructional vision.
